He apologized to the fans for the fact that two days before the finish of the World Championships in London, Belarusian athletes still do not have a single medal. The head of the BFLA also reviewed the performances of athletes at the 2017 World Cup, telling what and who did not work out as expected.

It should be noted that at the 2017 World Cup in London, Belarus missed several leading athletes who did not go to the world forum due to injuries, illnesses and other reasons - these are hammer fighter Ivan Tikhon, marathon runner Olga Mazurenok, runner on long distances Svetlana Kudelich, winner of the recent Warsaw Marathon Anastasia Ivanova, all-around athletes Andrey Kravchenko, Yana Maksimova, high jumpers Pavel Seliverstov and Maksim Nedosekov, European junior triple jump champion Violetta Skvortsova and others.

- The World Championship in London has not yet ended, but a lot has already accumulated and I want to speak out. First of all, I would like to apologize to all the fans of the domestic athletics for the performance of our team at this largest athletics competition of the year. I know we were disappointed and didn't live up to expectations.

We approached the main start with offensive losses. But even with those athletes who came to London, based on the final protocols, we were able to fight for World Championship medals. At least one, but we were obliged to take these days.

I cannot say that the athletes we counted on did not fight. But the fact is more eloquent than all the circumstances - there are no medals. Pasha Boreisha had a chance to compete for a medal in the finals of the hammer throw and, as they missed this chance in the javelin throw, hammer throw, and shot put. All of them also made it to the final part of the World Championship and, judging by the final results of the top three in each of their types and the real capabilities of our athletes, they could stand on the podium at the London stadium.

Also, according to the data obtained at the control training, Marina Arzamasova also arrived in good shape, who could not pass the qualification barrier, explaining that she slowed down at the finish line, as a result of which she did not get into the coveted top three, finishing fourth. Yes, this happens to the world champion, as well as to other athletes at this championship in dramatic finals, when we saw that even gold went out from under the very nose, due to the same problems.

Yes, we also have the women's 100m hurdles final, which adds more from race to race, and we congratulate her on this.
We remember how the final in Beijing turned out for Alina, and we sincerely wish her a repeat of the success of the last World Championship. But we must be objective and see that this year the top eight in this type of athletics is an order of magnitude stronger than the Beijing eight (all four Americans are in the final, the Australian is in full combat readiness and we also keep in mind the German, whom Alina lost so far this year) . It will definitely be harder for Alina in the London final than in that one in Beijing. God forbid that I was wrong, and for her everything turned out easily and successfully. In any case, Alina, we believe in you!

V race walking in London it is unlikely that we will have to fight for places, and if I am mistaken, I will be very glad about it.

From the positive in this world championship, I will note the passage to the semi-finals with a good result for her. I am glad that she did not lose her head in a huge stadium with world leaders.

I liked that Anna Malyshchik confidently completed the qualification on the first attempt, which was not the case before, and this is a serious signal of her progress. It's just a pity that I lost the movement in the final.

I am glad that Pasha Boreisha did not lose his head in qualifying and in stress, leaving himself only one chance in the last attempt, he sent the hammer for the qualifying standard. I also liked Pasha's warm-up at the stadium before the final attempts, where he behaved calmly and confidently. It is a pity that one centimeter was not enough to get into the top eight, where he could still improve his result and compete for a medal. This is all an invaluable experience, and I believe that soon Pasha will be one of the leaders in the world of hammer throwing.

I am glad that Tatyana Kholodovich is already fighting for a medal at every major competition, but still she had to take a medal in London. She has everything for this, and all experts note this. We know the reasons for the shortfall, and this could have been avoided.

It’s a pity for Alyona Dubitskaya, since for the first time she faced the decision of the judge, who did not count the passing attempt due to an error in the execution of the movement technique, which, as a result, broke the athlete. Alena, you need to be stronger! We know what you are capable of. Your readiness allowed you to fight for the championship bronze. Don't give up, you are very strong!

I know we're going through a generational change and we're rebooting our entire athletics. But at the same time, even today our athletes show very worthy results not only at home, but already mainly at the largest and most prestigious competitions, while taking top places. We have a chic young generation growing up, which very soon, I believe in it, will rise up in line with the leaders and will fight for high places in adult top competitions.

I appeal to you, young talents: do not waste time, sports time is very fleeting. There are no trifles in sport, and you give yourself completely to it, believing in the coach, in your dream and Victory! Don't be afraid to strive Olympic medal! Luck loves the brave!

I do not want the negative background from the performance to be reflected in the mood of our team. We see where mistakes were made and know how to avoid them in the future. We see where we have a reserve. The most serious conclusions will be drawn after the summer season, and we will only go forward with triple energy.

The task that we took on at Tokyo 2020, we do not remove and believe that we will definitely complete it. For this we have all the conditions and opportunities.

Next year, the main summer athletics start will be the European Championships in Berlin. We will try, approaching the Olympics, to be stronger and more successful!
Alina good luck tomorrow, we believe in you! Forward, Belarus! — wrote Vadim Devyatovsky.
